Michael Fassbender is in BIG trouble in new, dynamic trailer for The Counselor

The Counselor is one of my most anticipated movies this year. Having read the script I can tell you that it will either be amazing or it will be absolutely awful. The latest trailer doesn't really help me with determining which one of those it will be, but it looks like they kept some of the best parts of the script in the film.

The film, written by Cormac McCarthy and directed by Ridley Scott, revolves around a lawyer (Michael Fassbender) who gets himself and his fiance Laura (Penelope Cruz) mixed up with some really ruthless people. The film also features Javier Bardem, Brad Pitt and Cameron Diaz in what will probably be an unforgettable performance, or at the very least - unforgettable character.

The film opens in US on October 25th.

  1. I've been very bad. Man, that looks good. W/ the new trailers for Thor and Her, the fall will be a fucking good season. That's party time for me.

    1. I really can't wait to see if Ridley did his magic and elevated the script to something awesome in movie form.

  2. This looks great. I think Cameron Diaz might be the actor to watch for, but nonetheless this film has a strong cast. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint!

    1. Diaz has an amazing character here, but I'm not entirely sure if she is right for the part.

    3. Indeed, he probably has most memorable hairstyles among working actors :)

  6. I hope it's amazing, and I'm crossing my fingers that Diaz finally gets an Oscar nomination. It'd also be nice for Ridley Scott to have a hit with the Academy again.

    1. I don't think the Academy will like the film overall, the source material is really messed up, but Diaz may have a shot at nomination for sure.

    1. I really hope it's good, the ideas in the script are great but they need some flashing out, hopefully Scott did his magic here.

  9. I am hoping this is good. I need a big screen Fassbender fix and something to balance his role 12 Years a Slave (certain to be a not so nice character).

    1. I heard his character in 12YaS is horrible, he isn't exactly Mr. Perfect here either, but he is definitely one of the nicer character in the story.
