Game of Thrones 4x04 Oathkeeper
Last night's episode of Game of Thrones was quite an event. It was a milestone - for the first time the show has surpassed the books in such a great and significant matter. It was also the first time I was completely in the dark as to what will happen - seeing how we never found out what happens to the babies when the White Walkers take them in the novels, what I experienced last night must be how non book readers feel whenever there is a gigantic plot twist - or something super creepy - unveiled on the show. How are you guys even alive?!

Enemy (review + analysis)
(I'm starting a new series, or to say more accurately, I'm creating a new label for the posts in which I ramble psychotically try to explain movies. It's called DECIPHERED and by clicking on it you can check out my other attempts at analyzing films)
One of the highest compliments I can give to psychological thriller, a gigantic puzzle of a movie is that I read about it extensively after seeing it, trying to put it together. I think it's now been 4 days I read about this one. And I'm still confused about some things.

Game of Thrones 4x03 Breaker of Chains
Oh boy. So much has happened on this week's Game of Thrones and one scene in particular provoked a reaction far stronger than last week's Purple Wedding. When I say reaction I mean a grand overreaction and the misplacement of blame. Breaker of Chains was a good episode, but as with most episodes following a major event it did feel a lot like 'let's set up the future events' hour.
We open where we left things off with Cersei hysterically yelling that Tyrion poisoned her son. Dontos takes Sansa away and we see Cersei asking where is Tyrion's wife along with Tywin yelling that no one is permitted to leave the city. Sansa and Dontos rush through the streets of King's Landing and arrive at the shore.

Game of Thrones 4x02 The Lion and the Rose
Ding dong, the psycho's gone.
Before we get to the event some of you were probably looking forward to since 1x02, where Joffrey turned out to be a deplorable coward, and most of you (all of you?) definitely were since he had Ned Stark executed in 1x09, let's start with the beginning, or as I'd call it - let's get everything out of the way so that we can show as much wedding as we can.

The 10 Most Iconic Characters in Film History (Relay)
I was invited by Manon de Reeper to participate in this relay blogathon created by Nostra at
MyFilmViews. The idea is that every participant removes one iconic character from the list, and then adds a new one.

Game of Thrones 4x01 Two Swords
There's Thrones...and then there is everything else.
After nearly 10 months of waiting the series is finally back. I can't find the words to describe just how happy I was to finally hear that opening credits music again. But before the opening credits there was a very skillfully put together 'previously on' clip that included all the information that Unsullied needed to understand the episode as well as absolutely chilling cold open.
In that opening we see Ned Stark's great sword, Ice, being pulled from the wolf pelt. It's Tywin's hand that is holding the sword. He gives it to the blacksmith who reforges the sword into two new ones - Oathkeeper, for Jaime and Widow's Wail for Joffrey.
