Game of Thrones 5x10 Mother's Mercy + thoughts on season 5

I'm declining to rate this episode.

Here are my favorite tracks from the soundtrack for the 5th season of Game of Thrones. Ramin Djawadi has yet again proved to be the most reliable person on board - the soundtrack is again the best thing about the show. Though curiously there doesn't seem to be few tracks for the events we will definitely see in finale:

It is this time during GoT season when I get to use the words that only those who read the books understand.

These dumb as fuck showrunners, oh my God.

Game of Thrones 5x08 Hardhome

OH MY GOD.

You guys!

I'm still shaking a bit and picking up my jaw off the floor after it hit it pretty much the moment the mist appeared, but before I talk about the battle scene, let's go back to the beginning of Hardhome, undoubtedly the finest episode of the season and one of the best episodes of the show so far.

Game of Thrones 5x07 The Gift

This week on Thrones we got honest to God consensual sex scene. And that's not even the most shocking development in the episode. Two fan favorites finally meet, Sansa starts doing something other than being miserable - though there is still plenty of that and King Stannis makes me both turned on and incredibly worried.

 Let's jump right in.

Game of Thrones 5x05 Kill the Boy

This week on Thrones things got progressively worse for few characters. The men in Daenerys' life are either getting killed by basic bitches in Meereen, being stuck in a pointless romance side plot or contracting the cross between rabies and leprosy, while Sansa is discovering the depths of the shitshow run by the Boltons in Winterfell. And also - I fear for the lives of absolutely every decent character in the Northern storyline.

Game of Thrones 5x04 Sons of the Harpy

We open and check in with Jorah who loads unconscious Tyrion on a boat. The lighting in this scene is worse than in most Stannis' scenes, so that's one hell of an accomplishment. Also there is no Genry rowing in the background, so opportunity missed?

Game of Thrones 5x03 High Sparrow

This episode might as well be called "Everyone is dying inside". Cersei. Sansa. Jorah. Reek has mentally check out seasons ago but seriously, he reached some new levels of that this week. Also - Sansa fans. Dying inside all over the place.

Game of Thrones 5x02 The House of Black and White

The second episode of the 5th season was even better than last week's premiere. It included some truly magnificent cinematography, wonderful action scene featuring Brienne and The Wall's storyline loveliest moment to date.

Game of Thrones 5x01 The Wars to Come

We're back! And what a return it was. Season 5 of Game of Thrones opened with a very strong episode and though some of the important characters weren't in this one, we got to check in with the key players. And more importantly - The One True King is back. All scruffy and wearing a furry cloak.

11 things to look forward to in Game of Thrones 5

We're two weeks away from the season premiere of Game of Thrones 5. It's hard to predict what events from the books are gonna be featured in this season, thanks to quite secretive marketing campaign (we only have 2 trailers and 2 short TV spots) and the many changes from the books already indicated in the released footage. Also the show goes further than the stories in the books - most notably with Sansa and so far it looks that to avoid spoiling whatever happens for her next, her story will merge with some of the plots from published books.

Anyways, here's what we know for sure that's gonna happen in this season that I'm looking forward to:

The gods demand justice in the second, insanely epic trailer for Game of Thrones season 5

Why do I even bother making plans this time of year? HBO drops new GoT trailer and everything else just disappears. After slightly disappointing first trailer and that thing they call season 5 poster it looked like the marketing is really going to be bad this year.

And now?

The queens shall rise and fall in the first trailer for Game of Thrones season 5

Here we are again at that time of the year when HBO finally starts giving us promo material for the new season of Game of Thrones. We got exclusive trailer yesterday, that was showed after the screening of final two season 4 episodes at IMAX theaters. In the trailer we get flashes of the past and present including our first look at Dorne and Daznak's Pit.
