There is a certain problem one has to deal with while reviewing movies you absolutely adore. Instead of writing about them, you should just watch them again. But since I said I'll review Casino for RorschachReviews and on the odd chance there are those out there who haven't seen that splendid movie and I have the opportunity to encourage them to do so, I shall now review one of my all time favorite films. And I'll probably see it again afterwards.

"I find that the best way into things is to open my heart up to it and
allow it to be as truthful and honest as I can be, and I can make it.
It’s hard to do that; it’s hard to open yourself up to something.”

New Game of Thrones season 3 "No Mercy" trailer kicks ass and shows that a dragon is no slave
By s. | Monday, March 18, 2013 | Game of Thrones, trailers | 22 Comments |
You know how they say a picture is worth a thousand words? Well in the case of the above it is most definitely true. HBO has just released fantastic trailer entitled No Mercy featuring new look at the dragons, Khaleesi outsassing everyone and quick first glimpses of Ramsay (I think) and Queen of Thorns. My favorite moment is definitely Jorah kicking so much ass and the BEAR! Oh my God I'm ecstatic they did that scene. Also it's awesome to see Stannis being badass at last.

Top 10: Trailers
By s. | Wednesday, March 13, 2013 | lists, Specials | 34 Comments |
Trailers are one of my favorite things when it comes to movie advertising. Some people don't watch them, fearing they may spoil the movie, but I don't care about any of that. For me it's the trailer that makes me the most excited about films/TV series. The right combination of images, music and pacing can produce works of art that often times are actually better than the movie they are promoting (eg. Love and Other Drugs).

(spoilers about the Wicked Witch of the West and the very ending)
Disney doesn't give up. Since Johnny Depp is slowly becoming more annoying than charming and their last attempt to launch new trilogy - in a dreaded title John Carter - misfired like the smelly poop in clogged toilet, they are, poor things, time and time again challenged to come up with something "new" that will prove to be profitable. And those poor things, even when they succeed in unleashing half assed movie that will bring them money just can't get the people to do sequel soon enough. With Tim Burton taking his sweet time on Alice in Wonderland 2, what else to do than look for another adventure that will hopefully bring tons of money?

Movie of the Month - March - The Ides of March
By s. | Monday, March 4, 2013 | Movie of the Month, The Ides of March | 20 Comments |
For March, the movie of the month is...The Ides of March. I feel that this film is very underrated, it was actually one of my favorite movies in 2011 and it even ended up in my top 5 of 2011. I think Good Night and Good Luck is a fine film, but I found The Ides of March to be easily the most entertaining movie that was directed by George Clooney, though I won't deny that it seems to be mostly Clooney's vanity project that allowed him to preach his ideals without actually running for any public position.
