This episode might as well be called "Everyone is dying inside". Cersei. Sansa. Jorah. Reek has mentally check out seasons ago but seriously, he reached some new levels of that this week. Also - Sansa fans. Dying inside all over the place.

Game of Thrones 5x01 The Wars to Come

By s. Monday, April 13, 2015 , 24 Comments
We're back! And what a return it was. Season 5 of Game of Thrones opened with a very strong episode and though some of the important characters weren't in this one, we got to check in with the key players. And more importantly - The One True King is back. All scruffy and wearing a furry cloak.

Ah, how I missed you, your grace.

12 cinematic and television gems I found because of my actor crushes

By s. Sunday, April 5, 2015 , , , , , , , , , , , , , 35 Comments

My way of watching films? See everything the actor I adore is in. I've recently acquired such obscure stuff with Stephen Dillane that I'm amazed I even managed to find it (and thanks to everyone who helped!). I don't care what imdb rating is. I don't even care what the movie is about. If he is in it, I'll watch it.

It's a technique I employed for years and while I have seen so much shit (Idris Elba really needs to be in better movies, seriously) there are several films which I watched and absolutely adored that I wouldn't have found if it wasn't for my love for that one particular actor who is in it. And almost all of those are completely unknown to the general public, so yet again let me shine a light on these true gems I found, hoping that you guys manage to find them and watch them:

White Swan, Black Swan blogathon

By s. 39 Comments
For the new blogathon I thought it would be fun to pay homage to my all time favorite movie and one of my favorite types of characters - Black Swan.

What is black swan you may ask, Well, it has never been stated as an official term but I'd like to think the idea of a black swan/white swan is a very elegant way of depicting the duality in characters. So I encourage you to write about your favorite white swans/black swans, both in movies and in TV series.

There are so many fascinating cases of character being one thing to the outside world and completely different person in reality - Mavis from Young Adult, Patrick Bateman from American Psycho, Brandon from can choose characters from all the genres and it's doesn't matter if they are lead or very supporting.

I'd love for this to be also the opportunity to write about those fascinating characters from the psychological standpoint, so go for it!
