Game of Thrones 3x05 Kissed by Fire
By s. | Monday, April 29, 2013 | Game of Thrones, season 3 of Game of Thrones | 22 Comments |
Every week I think two things just before the new episode of Game of Throne airs - there is no possible way they can top last week and there is no way Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Gwendoline Christie can possibly deliver even better performances than in the last episode. And every week, I'm wrong.

Scene of the Week - Snow White and the Huntsman
By s. | Wednesday, April 24, 2013 | Rupert Sanders, Scene of the Week, Snow White and the Huntsman | 24 Comments |
Mirror, mirror, on the wall....
directed by Rupert Sanders
The scene: Though the entire Snow White and The Huntsman was a bunch of people walking and one wasted talented chasing another, I did enjoy Charlize Theron's work here and if I ever get around to watching Director's Cut of the movie that has been rotting on my shelf for months, it will only be for her performance as the iconic Evil Queen.

Game of Thrones 3x04 And Now His Watch is Ended
By s. | Monday, April 22, 2013 | Game of Thrones, season 3 of Game of Thrones | 30 Comments |
Last night's episode of Game of Thrones was easily the best in this season. In fact, while it's not as great as Blackwater, I'd rank it among the best episodes of the series so far. The amount of intrigue and politics reminded me of season 1. Also perhaps the show runners should see the correlation - no random tits - better quality of the episodes.

10 unintentionally hilarious Game of Thrones scenes
By s. | Saturday, April 20, 2013 | Game of Thrones, Saturday TV Special | 20 Comments |
While Game of Thrones is dark and full of terrors, there is also plenty of humor. Hilarious lines, witty characters and even some situational comedy. There are also many of unintentionally funny scenes, mostly involving Kit Harington attempts at acting and Daenerys shouting about her missing dragons back in season 2.
However next to the scenes that made a lot of people laugh there are those that greatly amuse me whenever I see them. Though some of those listed below may have been intended as funny, I laughed out loud at each of those:

Game of Thrones 3x03 Walk of Punishment

Dear HBO,
You seem not to realize it, but it's really not that hard to see tits. I'm a woman. If I want to see them, all I have to do is look down. Here they are. Every woman who watches Game of Thrones can do so too. And as for guys, I'm sure if they google it, they'll see it. So why do you have this obsessive need to infest my favorite show with tits?

10 scenes that prove HBO really has no limits.
By s. | Sunday, April 14, 2013 | articles, Boardwalk Empire, Carnivale, Deadwood, Game of Thrones, Saturday TV Special, Six Feet Under, Specials, The Sopranos, True Blood | 40 Comments |
Famous tagline "no limits" is one of the best advertising strategies from HBO. Is it really true though? Yes. We get to see things on HBO that an ordinary broadcasting station wouldn't dare to show. And though Showtime and AMC have a fair share of shocking things in their shows, HBO still takes the prize for the most courageous station.

Visual Parallels: Breaking Bad + Pulp Fiction
By s. | Wednesday, April 10, 2013 | Breaking Bad, Pulp Fiction, Visual parallels | 63 Comments |
As I was rewatching Breaking Bad recently I noticed an astonishing amount of parallels to Pulp Fiction. I'm sure the creators and the writers of Breaking Bad saw Tarantino's classic and some of these are just too similar to be dismissed as a coincidence.

Game of Thrones 3x02 Dark Wings, Dark Words
By s. | Monday, April 8, 2013 | Game of Thrones, season 3 of Game of Thrones | 16 Comments |
Ladies and Gentlemen, forever remember April 7th, 2013 as the day when we got to witness Game of Thrones episode without bare tits and brothel scenes. That's right. 57 minutes and not one brothel scene. This is mindblowing. It is quite telling how this is more noticeable than the lack of Khaleesi in this episode.

5 actors I'd love to see in future seasons of Game of Thrones: Casting A Song of Ice and Fire
By s. | Saturday, April 6, 2013 | Game of Thrones, Saturday TV Special | 22 Comments |
One of the best things about HBO's Game of Thrones is the cast. The actors deliver such wonderful performances and they were perfectly chosen for the characters they are bringing to life. There are strokes of genius in casting Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime, Michelle Fairley as Catelyn Stark and Charles Dance as Tywin Lannister. As fantastic as the story is, it needs talent and dedication to be properly adapted. And everyone in the show is doing tremendous job.

Scene of the Week - Batman Returns

HELLO THERE
directed by Tim Burton
directed by Tim Burton
Once upon a time, when Tim Burton actually brought in originality with his movies, he made terrific Batman Returns. I really enjoy the film, its naughty humour and grotesque scenes, but my favorite aspect of it is Michelle Pfeiffer's splendid performance as Selina Kyle/Catwoman. As good as Anne Hathaway was in The Dark Knight Rises - she is no Pfeiffer.

I didn't think they will do it. I didn't think they'll mange that. But yes, they managed to show tits in the season premiere of season 3. Not just tits - tits in a brothel. And Bronn almost taking off this chick's panties with his teeth. HBO, you are nothing if not persistent.
