HBO has finally revealed the first full-length trailer for season 4 of Game of Thrones. Just like the trailers for the previous seasons this promo is terrific. We get so much good stuff here - glimpses of the battle, the trial by combat and even Arya back with the Needle and Sansa at the Eyrie.But perhaps the most intriguing is the shadow of the dragon over King's Landing. The show doesn't use flashbacks, nor does it seem likely it's an alteration made for the trailer. Could it be one of the upcoming dream/flashback/vision sequences that Bran has? It's certainly not the present reality.
The season which will focus on the second part of Storm of Swords will bring us another big battle, this time in a different part of Westeros, another memorable wedding and what I'm guessing will be the best performance from Peter Dinklage on the show yet.
The new season begins Sunday, April 6th.

There is only one hell - the one we live in now - is Melisandre talking to Yara? I'll certainly prefer Yara joining Stannis' army than becoming the substitute for Jeyne Poole from the books.

Smaug isn't even in the league of DRAGON DRAGON... he spits fire, he knocks you out with his tail. He can do drop-kicks. He's the greatest dragon of them all!!!!

DeleteI just loved that trailer! I shouldn't have watched it because I usually don't watch trailers (I don't want to spoil fun for myself) but for Game of Thrones I had to make an exception.

About the dragon shot, I was quite stand when I saw it and I was wondreing is it really King's Landing? It seems like it but right now Dany is so far away from it so I don;t know what to think about that.
And wow, Oberyn looks fantastic! Great casting for the part.
They changed not only the Mountain but also Daario Naharis and I've very glad they did. That guy was hideous, can't imagine how Dany could fall for a guy like him after being married to Khal Drogo!
I'm really looking forward to so many moments in this season but one of my favourites are definitely scenes from Eyrie! And Purple Wedding and what happens after it! I'm sure we will see so many amazing performances but I'm also affraid that we can forget about any award nominations for the cast members. So unfair what happened this year!
It looks like Red Keep in the end of the shot, so it's gotta be KL. I think it needs to be Bran's vision, perhaps of Dragons coming to Westeros? I'm so confused here.

Oh man, I am dying to know what this purple wedding is all about. It can't be as bad as the red wedding, can it...? Guess I'll find out soon enough! Can't wait.
