When last night a leak from Canadian fans of Thrones came through that they've got to see the episode early and there was no epilogue of book 3 in it, I thought to myself, well, that's it then. For the first time I didn't stay up all night to watch the episode. Maybe it's because I had the whole day to process the unbelievable decision of not ending the season with the best possible cliffhanger before I saw the episode, but to me it seems that The Children, as much as it is a slap across the face for us book readers at times, is one fine episode of the show.

There's Thrones...and then there is everything else.
Tonight was the premiere of the 4th season for the cast and the crew of the show. The event was broadcasted live and hosted by True Blood's Steve Nevlin doing absolutely awful job,. However it was worth sitting through all the awkwardness to witness new, amazing trailer for season 4 with plenty of new footage.

With 27 days left, HBO has released another epic trailer, this one entitled Secrets - we have some new images here, but sadly no Brienne or Margaery. However we did get the first look at Roose Bolton, new look at Melisandre and plenty of Daenerys.
This is the beauty of knowing the story before the show airs - for non-book readers this is just a shot of Shae lying on the bed. But for us who read the book? OH. MY. GOD.
If HBO's goal was to make everyone out there wish it was April 6th already with the brand new special for Game of Thrones that just aired - they succeeded. Not only did we get plenty of awesome stuff including very fun answers to fan questions, but also so many new shots from the upcoming season. The ending shot of featurette is probably the most epic shot of the show so far - look at the size of Drogon! I'm actually terrified.
