Awesome pick, Sati! The soundtrack is definitely one of the highlights of the film, really adds a lot to the creepy atmosphere, but it's also beautiful. I love classical music so this is the kind of soundtracks I like. That piano scene is just WOW. Hope you get to see this soon. P.S. Matthew Goode is sooo gorgeous!
Thank you! I heard Philip Glass's track from that scene and it sounded lovely, from the looks of it this is one intense scene! I hope so too, but it has very limited release :(
He is really handsome but I'm more into more manly guys, he is just a bit too pretty :P
Oh I like Philip Glass too! His score for The Hours is wonderful.
Yeah I guess you're right, Goode is a bit too pretty, especially here. I like my man rugged too, like Dalton and of course Richard Armitage!! :D Btw, would you mind reading a pitch I did a while ago where I cast Richard in one of the roles? I'll send you the link via Twitter DM.

It really is, one of my all time favorites - it went with the movie beautifully! Glass rarely disappoints, very cool that he helped Mansell out here.
DeleteI'd love to to read that! :)
Right from the start I took notice of the score right away. Is is one of the best haunting scores since "Pan's Labyrinth"
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful, I keep listening to it. Clint Mansell never disappoints!
DeleteSounds great and I love your selection of screen shots. Still really want to check this out despite seeing some mixed reviews.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm definitely seeing the movie at first opportunity.
DeleteI'm really hoping to see this film this coming weekend. I love Chan-wook Park and Clint Mansell.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to your review!
DeleteNot Mansell's greatest but still very creepy and perfectly suited to the film.
ReplyDeleteI really like the music, I think Mansell was the best possible choice here.
DeleteThe score really helped play a big part in Stoker, really helped with the whole uncomfortable, unsettling tone. Mansell has done a great job.
ReplyDeleteI really can't wait to see this one! :)
DeleteI had no idea Mansell scored this! Seeing it tomorrow, can't wait.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for your review!
DeleteI thought this is kind of a vampire movie, but I was wrong about it. It's great not for kids though..
ReplyDeleteYeah many people thought that because of the whole 'Stoker' name :)
DeleteBrilliant track, and I love those images. Can't wait to see this!
ReplyDeleteSame here, it's one of my most anticipated of the year!
