ReplyDeleteI think if I lived in a place with all these seasons, Autumn might be my favourite.
It's so pretty isn't it? I wish it was a bit warmer though, I hate coats :)
DeleteBrilliant post! These are gorgeous. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI'd also mention The Trouble with Harry:

Oh, this one is lovely!
DeleteIsn't it? Only thought of it because I watched the film last week. :)
DeleteYou watch so many movies! I really need to see more stuff this month.
DeleteHaha. It helps that I don't watch many TV shows. ;)
DeleteYeah, but it my experience my fav TV series disappoint me less often than most of movies out there :)
DeleteHa, fair enough.
DeleteStunning photos all around! But I hear England is always dark, gloomy, and raining, so for we know that photo of The Kings Speech could be summer! Haha... I'm joking of course, but take a look at this England-based video clip of "I'm Walking On Sunshine": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPUmE-tne5U ....they call that sunshine??? :P
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was hard to determine what season it was at some of the pics, I assumed autumn because of the outfits the characters wore - the weather there is tricky. When I was in London it was crazy hot and sunny, so I have yet to experience English weather.
DeleteVanilla Sky shot looks magical.
ReplyDeleteThat whole sequence was so memorable it was the first thing that came to my mind when I was making this post.
DeleteI knew there would be something from Vanilla Sky. Such a nice fall sequence there.
ReplyDeleteAwesome post. Something different for a season dominated by horror movies. Fall's definitely my favorite season.
I love this scene, such a wonderful moment in that film.
DeleteThank you!
Gorgeous pictures.
ReplyDeleteLOVE, LOVE, LOVE this post. I adore Autumn colors, you're spoiling me rotten Sati! Glad to see Sense & Sensibility on here, and that one of JGL in (500) Days of Summer is such a gorgeous shot!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you like the post! Oh, these two are some of my favorite shots, I use them as often as I can :)
DeleteCool post! I'm starting to think autumn is my favorite time of the year. The leaves are changing, the weather is just about perfect, great movies are starting to roll in... yeah, the fall rocks. :D
ReplyDeleteThat's a good point about great movies starting to roll in, I haven't even thought of that!
DeleteI've spent the last 45 minutes on your site. First on this post, then just looking around. It's so goddamn intoxicating. I'll never not love it.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I hope you like the three lists that are coming, totally inspired by what you did for your blog's anniversary :)
DeleteThis post in another gem. My favorite is (500) Days of Summer, hands down.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yeah, it's such an iconic shot from this movie!
Deletevery nice Sati, although you have made me want to grab my scarf!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Scarf is a good idea this time of the year :)
DeleteNice theme, Sati. I love Jane Eyre and 500 Days of Summer. I too love Autumn colors. Wish I have them in my country!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Jane Eyre is probably my favorite out of those shots.
DeleteWhat a fabulous idea for a post! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteFar From Heaven!!!! Everytime I think of Autumn and the movies, I think of that film.

Damn, I knew I forgot something!
DeleteAmazing idea! Love these shots. Autumn is such a colourful time of year. So full of change and it's great to see film makers really capitalize on that.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love it whenever the film is set during Autumn it makes for such beautful shots.
DeleteThe most beautiful time of the year. Gorgeous pictures!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was fun finding those.
DeleteGorgeous pics and movie choices! My favourite is the Red Riding Hood pic where the colours are birght and vivid - looks like it's in a studio though, so no wonder it's perfect, lol! :)
