I simply cannot wait for this - Joe Wright, Keira Knightley, Dario Marinelli! It has to be great.
ReplyDeleteMe too! I hope it's going to be better than recent Anna Karenina adaptations.
DeleteIt looks absolutely stunning. They're doing something different with the look aren't they? And agreed Knightley in Atonement was wonderful. Wright is really her director cuz he brings out the best in her. Aaron Johnson looks really off, and that's the only thing I don't approve of here.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he will be better in the whole movie, he was pretty good in Albert Nobbs and I didn't expect that after Kick Ass :)
DeleteAs I said in my "most-anticipated performances post" (yes, shameless plug): When Keira and director Joe Wright get together, it's magical. Can't wait to see this.

Plug away! :) Yes, she really does wonders under his direction.
DeleteThis does look great. Reminds me of Doctor Zhivago in some ways. I just hope it has a strong script to support those gorgeous visuals.
ReplyDeleteMe too, there are way too many movies nowadays that are so gorgeous but so empty at the same time.
DeleteI'm not sold on Keira as you for this role, but I am hopeful that she'll do well under Wright's guidance as she has done so twice before. I'm glad you agree about the Soloist, that's Wright's weakest film, surely.
ReplyDeletePlus they covered Downey Jr in urine in this one. What the hell?
DeleteDespite some nice visuals, I doubt I'll be going anywhere near this. Not for me.
ReplyDeleteWhat if it gets tons of Academy Award nominations? :)
DeletePride & Prejudice and Atonement are not films I expected to like, but I loved them both wholeheartedly. I can’t wait for this movie. Hopefully an Oscar nom for Knightley looms.
ReplyDeleteKnightley can be really awesome as in Atonement and Never let me go. I think she has a huge potential and I hope this movie will not go unnoticed in Oscar season.
DeleteI love Wright and Keira Knightley looks and acts perfect in the trailer, but I also don't like Aaron Johnson, there's just something off about him!
ReplyDeleteEver sincde I saw Kick Ass I hated him but he impressed me in Albert Nobbs so I'm optimistic.
DeleteAnna Karenina looks astonishingly beautiful. I do like Wright-Knightley collaborations, Pride & Prejudice and Atonement, so I'm going to enjoy this one. And the cast is versatile.
ReplyDeleteLove the cast in this one, they really assembled fantastic actors and everyone seems perfect for their roles.
